As a care leaver having spent most of my childhood in foster care, I found these books interesting and fun to read, as I could easily relate to many of the story lines. I think the pictures are really cool, and the message of “It’ll Be Ok” made me think back and realise, it was actually ok being in Foster Care with my carer, despite all the things I had to deal with. It would have been good to have books like these when I came in to Foster Care.

I like the books, and I think they give a good insight into the child's experience when they come into care. Children in care and professionals working with children in care will find them very useful.

I found these books really engaging with great illustrations supporting the story line. This is a fantastic resource to provide reassurance to children about life in foster care, and a great educational tool to promote a wider understanding amongst children learning alongside looked after children.
As a SENCO, I often see children in foster care; these books will help them to talk about some of the issues they have to deal with and may enable some to open up about their fears and worries.
